Brother Brian Alexander Inglis, is one of the most dedicated Freemasons in Lodge Earl Haig.  Brian's nature and character is of a quiet man happy to work quietly behind the scenes and help the Lodge out in a discrete manner, be that by filling in for any office required of him or the support that he has given to the social side of the Lodge over the years.

He was initiated in on the 27th January 1965 when the Lodge met around the corner from his home in our original meeting place of the Shepherds Hall's in Windygates.  Albeit being introduced into the Lodge by his father Bro Thomson Inglis PM, he was in the company of a great many of his colleagues and friends from work.  As Brian was to trade a plumber at the "Stell" Cameron Bridge Distillery.  The "Stell" over the years has proven to be very connected with Lodge Earl Haig and at one point the Lodge in its formation was to be called Lodge Cameron Bridge.

It was during his time as RWM that the Lodge celebrated it 75th anniversary and Brian in his quiet and dignified way led the Lodge throughout the celebrations that were held to mark the special occasion in our history.  Since coming out of the Chair he has filled in for many progressive offices to help the Lodge out and even now as he looks forward to his 50th year in the Craft, he is unable to sit in the East and enjoy the rewards of his Labours.

To commemorate nearly 50 years of dedicated service the Lodge decided to award Bro Brian Alexander Inglis with Distinguished Service Membership of the Lodge.  This was presented to him on the 23rd April 2014, when along with his father Bro Thomson Inglis, Bro Gordon Michie PM paid tribute to his service to the Lodge.
